A: If the car had insurance then the claim can be turned into the owner's insurance company. Also make sure your company is aware of the loss. If you have insurance the claim can either be handled under your uninsured/ underinsured motorist coverage- or if you have full coverage then your company can pay and then seek the money back against either the other persons insurance or the person directly.

A: Call a member of the Tenn Assn for Justice in the county where the wreck happened--they give free consults. You would have a claim for damage to your vehicle or loss of vehicle, your injuries, wage loss, medical expenses etc. Get the free consult to know what your rights are with regard to your specific situation. In the meantime don't give statments to adjusters about how it happened, your injuries, until you have at least had advice from an attorney.
