A: If you pay the ticket, a conviction will be entered on your record. If you appear in court (or have an attorney represent you in court), the offense can likely be kept off of your record with court supervision, which may or may not require you to complete traffic school.

A: Yes, you should go to the Court date and request Court Supervision. If you receive Court Supervision, your insurance company will not find out about this ticket and it will save you money in the long run.
