Milford, PA asked in Child Custody and Family Law for Pennsylvania

Q: Is carbon county open to 50/50 custody?

I was staying at my parents house for the duration of a drawn out divorce. I was given every other weekend based on my distance. I am purchasing a home within the same school district and less than 10min from where my children reside with my ex. I want to be an equal parent to my children but my ex vows to never allow that. I have a steady job, I pay my support through garnishment and I have no criminal record or dui. My ex and I have argued about the marriage but co-parenting has not been an issue, other than her not including me in educational, orthodontics and extracurricular activities, she schedules at will and has the kids tell me where/when I have to take them when they’re with me. The custody order has been in place for 2 years parallel to when the divorce started. As soon as I was done with lawyer fees and the divorce I invested in a 3 bd room house near my kids. I just want a fair 50/50.
