Jacksonville, IL asked in Traffic Tickets for Illinois

Q: my Ex boyfriend recently got a speeding ticket that he has to go to court for. But my address is on the record.

He’s been moved out for a year and refuses to change his address. Is there anything I can do about it???

A: As long as the ticket is under his name and license number it should not cause you any problems. There is no way to amend the ticket without appearing in court on the court date, but, again, that should not be necessary.

A: Just as long as the ticket is in his name, there is no issue for you. This is only an issue for him.
