A: I strongly suggest she contact local criminal defense lawyers in order to get quotes. Attorney rates vary. She should choose the attorney that is right for her. Although price is a consideration, she should find someone she is comfortable with. She should also consult with counsel prior to writing/sending any letters as there may be negative consequences to such an approach (to say the least).
