Q: Can a 19 year old female spend the night at her 16 almost 17 year old boyfriends house with his parents permission
I’m a 19 year old female dating a 16 year old male who will be 17 this month, which is November. We started dating before I turned 18 so we have been together almost 2 years. I’m wondering if I’m allowed to spend the night at his house legally with his parents permission? Because his parent is fine with it but my parents are saying it’s illegal and won’t allow me to.
A: Spending the night at his house is one thing; having sex with him is quite another. The former is ok; the latter may be a problem. But there is a close-in-age exception which probably applies anyway: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ages_of_consent_in_the_United_States#Florida
