A: If you file jointly and submit a complete separation agreement signed by both parties, you can ask the Court to enter the agreement as an order and waive your appearance. The Court may grant that request though the Court must review the agreement for conscionability.

A: An attorney can help you with filing for divorce. You will not need to have a court appearance if you reach an agreement with your spouse on property and debt division and payment of maintenance (alimony).
