Q: Suspended TVDL, didn't surrender my license being 5 months late, and 1 month remaining. What could happen?
Hi, I am 20 years old and currently live in the United States, Illinois as a non-citizen. I got my Temporary Visitors Drivers License issued on 09/2018, but I got it suspended on 07/2019 with a Termination Date of 01/2020. I was sent a letter with an envelope, telling me to surrender my license, but I didn't. What could possibly happen if I did right now, being 5 months late?
A: You need to have an attorney review your driving record to determine what will happen or what could be done to lift the suspension of your license. The sooner you do this the better.
