A: I agree with my colleague, Mr. Jordan. If there is a belief that the child is being abused, it should be reported to the Department of Children and Family Services. Additionally, the grandparent may have grounds to file a third party custody action to obtain custody of the child. The child can not simply decide they want to live with someone else.
