Hickory Hills, IL asked in Traffic Tickets for Illinois

Q: How can you get a texting while driving ticket? Can you get a ticket from a photo enforced work zone camera?

What I am asking if the photo enforced speed cameras can be used to issue tickets for anything other than speeding?

A: Good question. It could be possible. If a police officer were to review the photo or video and it is clear that the driver was using their cell phone, that officer could mail the driver a ticket for Cell Phone Use While Driving. I have never seen or heard of this being done, but it could be possible.
