Huntley, IL asked in Traffic Tickets for Illinois

Q: How do I get traffic school without appearing for court on 2nd ticket this year?

Received traffic ticket 5 months ago, did online traffic school. Supervision is cleared. Received another traffic ticket last week. Was going to pay it next week, but it says that I cannot do traffic school again via paying it by mail. I would have to appear, but I will be out of town on business. How can I get supervision or traffic school without appearing or can I simply send in the envelope even though it says I can't do it within 12 months?

A: It sounds like a court appearance would be required. Your best bet is to hire an attorney to appear on your behalf while you are traveling.

A: I agree with Mr. Davis, it sounds like a court appearance would be required. I would get in contact with a local traffic attorney and further discuss your options.

A: You will have to appear in court in order to get Court Supervision again. If you cannot appear on the assigned date, you could motion the case up to have it advanced but you will have to give proper notice to the prosecutor. You could also hire an attorney to assist you and that attorney should be able to resolve this matter without you having to appear in court assuming this matter is a petty offense. You should hire an attorney right away.
