Q: I was wondering what the first step would be to fixing a statement

My boyfriend was charged as a result of a fight him and I had in November. There is a no contact order in place so i can't communicate with him. It says in the statement he pushed me but that is not right. He did not push me, he threw a tv knocking over our fireplace and threw a kettle.

A: Call his lawyer and talk to his lawyer. As long as you are not represented by a lawyer then his lawyer is free to talk to you. His lawyer can then figure out whether to do an affidavit or get you in touch with the DAs to fix your statement.
