Sikeston, MO asked in Traffic Tickets for Illinois

Q: Is there any way to avoid a required court appearance for a ticket if I am from out of state?

I got a ticket for going 22mph over in a work zone(though it was at the end of the zone and I thought I could speed up,) and the ticket says appearance required in Southern Illinois. I was driving from Michigan, where I live, to Louisiana, where I go to college, and it would be quite difficult to make the court date. Is there any way out of it or can I have a lawyer represent me in my absence?

A: Find a traffic attorney in the county where you received a ticket. In almost all cases, that attorney can appear on your behalf

A: You need to hire a local attorney to assist you with this matter. That attorney should be able to resolve the matter without you having to appear in court, but that attorney needs time to work your case, so hire one now.
