Deltona, FL asked in Divorce for Florida

Q: 23 months into Divorce & still no final judgement hearing

In process of divorce in Florida (Osceola County). Been dragging out for 23 months. All agreements have been signed by both parties and by the judge. All agreements reached 6 months ago. Soon to be ex-wife's lawyer said just need final hearing and done. I do not have an attorney. There has been no movement on this since Sept 2018. Is there anything I can do on my end (since I do not have a lawyer) to get the final hearing on the court docket?

A: As an unrepresented party you have the ability to request and schedule a hearing. You do not need to wait on the other party or attorney to take action. Call the judicial assistant and ask what the procedure is to schedule a status conference and/or final hearing.
