Q: Me and my family have been living in the same house for 15 years and still are. We have a lease and deed.
We have rent to own the house for 15 years. But the landlord who owns the house is wanting to kick us out because of her grandson is wanting to move in it. She dropped the lease and deed without us knowing. She dropped it 5 years ago and just told us recently 5 months that she had dropped the lease. Her grandson who is not the landlord keeps coming to the house with a hand written note that he has written himself saying we have 14 days to move out. The actual landlord hasnt brought a note at all telling us we have to move at all. We do know that its suppose to be typed up and brought by a cop. We also knownits not suppose to go from the people renting to own the home and the landlord knowing what is going in the situation. Her grandson has also been walking on the property taking pictures. We have no trespassing posted up also. But he keeps coming to the house saying we have to move. What can we do to keep our home? We dont think this is right at all. Please help me and my family!
A: You would be wise to hire an attorney asap to review the relevant documents and file the appropriate lawsuit.

A: If you get served with a Detainer Warrant, argue the Statute of Limitations has run. Therefore the owner must bring a suit for Ejectment. Hire a competent attorney now.
