Q: Reported domestic violence but didn’t press charges and didn’t go get a order of protection can he still be arrested?
He grabbed my hands with force then I left the house reported domestic violence to the police I was told to go get an order of protection but then me and my daughter’s father came to an agreement to not get back together but he will still buy our daughter needs and help me with her and see her from time to time. Will he still be arrested if I didn’t start any of the order protection paperwork?
A: Yes, once the police have been involved, it is out of your hands. He needs to hire an attorney right away. Tell him not to speak with the Police without an attorney by his side.
