Sycamore, IL asked in DUI / DWI for Illinois

Q: How long does a substance abuse/dui evaluation stay good. I had one 8 months ago and haven't started classes yet.

Will I need to have another evaluation done?

A: If you are asking about an evaluation for a SOS hearing, it's six months. You want to do your classes first not only to make sure your update is current but also to incorporate any new information after completing classes.

A: It is still good for the purposes of the needed classes but it is not good for a hearing before the Illinois Secretary of State Office. You really should start your classes. You do not want to fall behind on them and fail to complete them as a condition of your sentence.
