Rice Lake, WI asked in Products Liability for Wisconsin

Q: a shop picked up my vehicle to fix a bumper, 20 miles down the road engine light came (blown motor) is this on me?

Car went in for oil change, shop backed into tow truck. They ordered the bumper and picked up my car 20 miles down the road the engine light came on, they towed to their shop, blown motor. No issues with car when it was picked up and supposedly my extended warranty doesn’t cover the actual motor ($6000). Question is is the shop liable to bring the car back as it was when they picked it up?

A: A Wisconsin attorney could best address any state-specific consumer law issues that could possibly arise here, but your post remains open for two weeks. As a general matter in such a situation, it would depend on your arrangement with the shop and what you agreed upon with them. Good luck
