A: Under Indiana law, “IC” stands for Indiana Code, and the following numbers are the Title- Article - Chapter - and section of the code that states a particular law. Title 9 outlines laws and penalties for most driving offenses. However, IC 9-41-5-2(a) does not exist, as the articles under Title 9 only go up to 33, not 41.

Hope that helps to answer your question.

A: Mr. Cunningham is correct, Indiana Code, Title 9 (the motor vehicles title of the code) only goes up to Article 33 so the code citation that you provided does not exist in Indiana statute presently. However, Indiana Code 9-30-5-2(a) is a very common code citation and it is a part of the Indiana drunk/impaired driving statute. I hope that this is helpful.
