Philadelphia, PA asked in Child Support for Pennsylvania

Q: Are ALL phila courts closed? I have a child support case in front of a Master 4/23 at 9:45am and no one has contacted me

I understand that most courts are closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but I have an upcoming child support case that no one has contacted me about to let me know if it has been canceled or postponed or rescheduled and I’m nervous about not showing up because I don’t wanna get in trouble or lose my case for not showing. No one is answering down at family court in the domestic relations office and I’m not sure what to do or how to go about rescheduling the case.

A: You should call your lawyer. If you don't have one call the Court. From the Court notices it looks like no trials or hearings in May or June, but you need to find out if your particular hearing is the type that is postponed. If you speak to someone make a note of who you talk to , the time, the date.
