Q: What can be done as far as locating my child's father if he lives in another state?
When I took him to court 2 years ago, he actually wanted me to go through the state for child support payments, which I did. However, I went through Louisiana, which is where I live, and he lives in Texas, which is where he moved to, after court. 2 years later he is $6,000 behind on child support. Doesn't seem that fed tax offset is working and I'm guessing state tax offset won't do anything since he's in Texas. Right? Why isn't my caseworker doing more to locate him to start wage garnishments? Should I be going through Texas Child Support office? I have sent messages to my case worker but, it seems she doesn't want to be bothered as her answers are always short and sometimes avoids the main question all together. How do I find out where he's working? Help!
