Colorado Springs, CO asked in Family Law for Colorado

Q: Parents are using my military discount on a phone plan without my permission. Can I pursue legal action if not removed?

I no longer speak to my family. I was on a plan with them and using my military discount to save them money. I spoke to Verizon about this issue of my discount, not having a phone and how they are charging extra for line but stated there is nothing they can do since Im not an account owner. I have reached out to my parents via messaging on my laptop to inform them to remove the discount. I gave them till Sunday, if not I would like to file charges against them.

A: If they are not entitled to a military discount, they are committing fraud. You could report it, however given the small amount involved, this level of fraud may not be a high law enforcement priority.
