Q: If I live in Georgia and the father lives in florida, would I be able to file for child support even though I'm married?
He states that if I do file he wouldn't pay it and says since he is in florida they will protect him if he doesn't pay his child support? That he just can't enter back into Georgia. I'm just wondering if this is true or not?

What he is saying is not accurate. Child support orders are enforceable in all 50 states.
