Q: Our divorce is finalized and she demanded I give her half of what I was returned for a cruise I paid for while together
My ex wife is demanding I give her half of what I was returned for a cruise I paid for in my name while we were married. The divorce is completely finalized now and I was wondering if she can even do that? I paid for it out of my pocket and we aren’t even married anymore.
A: Unless there was a provision reserving any issues from the marriage, the property settlement of your divorce is final and she will not be able to recover monies from the cruise refund.

A:
If it was not included in the divorce order, then she is not entitled to any money.

A: At this point she will not be able to seek half of the funds from the cruise, unless there were specifics about it in your divorce papers. -Homer P. Jordan IV, Esq. 404-620-1558
