Milwaukee, WI asked in Traffic Tickets for Tennessee

Q: What are my options?

Greetings

I live in Wisconsin and visit Tennessee regularly.

I have two daughters that attend the University of Tennessee whom drive vehicles that I own and insure and allow them to drive.

I received a ticket in the mail the other day for one of the vehicles for running red light. The ticket was sent to me, and I was not in the state of TN at the time. But my daughter or one of my daughter’s friends (most likely) was driving the vehicle. What are my options?

Also, we have recently donated the vehicle, a 2008 Lexus to East Tennessee Children’s Hospital to auction off and no longer own the vehicle

Thank you

A: It is a civil matter, not criminal. Either pay it or forget about it. You can be sued, or when you have a Citation in Knoxville, you will have to pay it prior to paying for the Citation which keeps your License.
