Twin Falls, ID asked in Divorce for Idaho

Q: My husband owned the home prior to our marraige.

Since moving in all of my money goes to the household, and I did make more than he did but now I'm on SSD and our earnings are about the same. I don't want the house but legally after divorce what am I entitled to? I feel hung out to dry, he will come out ahead and I will have nothing to show for the last 10 years and have to start over. He has had 2 marraiges end in divorce prior to ours and keeps his finances private yet he is on my bank account. Also he has purchased several high costing items (vehicles) with a loan from his retirement and kept me off those titles as well. I know that in his prior divorces he lost money from his retirement to his spouses. He has been physically abusive and controlling. I simply want enough money to move and establish another residence for myself. I don't think he will file for divorce, I will have to. What are my rights? What can I do to protect myself?

A: You have no interest in the house if he did not put you on the title. You may have the right to Temporary Spousal Support.
