Q: What is the impact of the sponsor changing employers during adjustment of status for K1 visa?
My fiance (now wife) came to the US on a K1 visa, we got married, and submitted our I-485 and associated forms (I-944, I-131, I-765, and I-865). We received a notice of action (I-797C) in the mail that our packet was received.
Due to COVID, things seem uncertain at my current employer. I would like to look for a new job but I'm concerned that if I change jobs it will make our I-944, I-865, and I-485 (by association) invalid.
What would be the impact to our adjustment of status process if I switched employers? My wife does not work so I am the financial provider of the household. If I switch to a new job with roughly the same or higher income will there be any issues?
I am a US citizen.
Thanks in advance.
A: As long as your new salary meets the requirements, the change in employment will not affect your eligibility. The employer name and address is often updated during the interview.

I agree with the first answer. Your forms will not be invalid due to changes in employment. Moreover, your history of income over the past 3 years will be evaluated through your tax returns , any new changes can be updated during the interview.
good luck!
