A: You would need to file a Petition for Emancipation in juvenile court in the county where you reside. There are many factors that the court will consider in granting emancipation, one includes if the minor is supporting herself independently. It is best to contact an attorney who can assist you with the specifics of your case.

We wish you well.

A: There are numerous factors that go into being successfully emancipated. You would need to petition for it and see if it is granted. You may want to consult with an attorney who can help you or someone at juvenile court. If someone hits the baby you should call the police. -Homer P. Jordan IV, Esq. 404-620-1558
