Baton Rouge, LA asked in Child Support for Louisiana

Q: Child support

My baby’s mother is taking me to court for child support. In our initial appearance in court the amount they calculated me to pay was $800 because she SAID she didn’t have a job. Which is in fact not true! We have trial coming up do you have any tips on what I should present to the court on my behalf! I do EVERYTHING for my children when they’re with me and when they’re not! I carried them on my 1098 form and when she filled this year with a fake documentation because she didn’t have a job at that time she carried my children which left me in a huge hole. She has a job in a hair salon now and I don’t think it’s fair that should have to pay child support when I do everything for my children. PLEASE HELP! With any tips!

Sincerely, a dad that’s trying!
