A: I recommend you hire a probate attorney to look into the matter for you. You have not provided enough information to be able to answer your question. It's possible that there wasn't enough left after payment of the creditors and probate costs. Or that there were no assets and no probate was filed. It's possible you moved and the Personal Representative couldn't find you. It's possible the probate is still open and hasn't been distributed yet. Or maybe a newer Will was signed by the decedent and it didn't include your gift. There are many possibilities. An experienced probate attorney will assist you.
