Chicago, IL asked in Traffic Tickets for Illinois

Q: The cop didn't show on the first two court trials of my traffic ticket. How do I get the ticket dismissed?

I got a traffic ticket in Indiana on 12/1/2019. The cop didn't show on the first trial and the Pro-Tem judge gave the state a continuance on the promise of "only one continuance". On the second trial (10/22/2020), the cop didn't show again. But the Pro-Tem judge was a different one this time and he gave the state another continuance. I objected. The judge put the continuance "under advisement." How do I get it dismissed before the next trial on 11/17/2020? Thanks.

A: You need to hire an attorney licensed in Indiana to assist you with this matter, which is what you should have done before you first court appearance.
