Knoxville, TN asked in Traffic Tickets for Tennessee

Q: What are the odds I will be able to get a speeding ticket for 101 in a 70 removed from my driving record?

I'm 19 with no tickets

I was pulled over by TN highway patrol going 101 in a 70 at night. The officer said he got me by radar. My cars registration also expired just over a month ago too so he wrote that on the ticket too. I'm not able to pay any increases in insurance so I'm trying to find my best option to get the 5 point speeding offense removed for traffic school or deferral. I haven't gotten any tickets in the past and should have no points on my license.

A: I advise hiring a competent attorney to represent you. You definitely need to go to Court and act in a respectful manner. Apparently you acted appropriately or the LEO would have arrested you. Get the Registration renewed immediately and take it to Court. It may be possible to plead to a lower MPH over Speeding Violation.
