A: Do you have a question about the ticket?

A: None of that has anything to do with the validity of the citation. It sounds to me as if you are providing reasons why you might not have been watching your speed. None of these are defenses to the charge. It might be that the prosecutor will agree to negotiate the speed down or keep the ticket off of your record, but that depends on how many tickets you’ve gotten in the past.
