Altamonte Springs, FL asked in Animal / Dog Law for Florida

Q: Hello, I am super upset because I took my dog to the vet yesterday (Friday the 15th) to get a tumor removed.

After the surgery the vet called and gave us the worse possible news. That it was the worse he’s ever seen. Mind you, this dog was jumping and playing like nothing the day of surgery. He also told us he didn’t know how long she’d live. He said he wanted to keep her one more day and would call us Saturday morning/afternoon to go pick her up. I asked if someone would be there caring for her, giving her meds and making sure she’s comfortable and he said he would. Fast forward to the next day, it’s Saturday. I’ve been calling all day to see how she’s doing and to go pick her up. This office is normally closed on the weekend. No answer. No phone call. I’m desperate to know how she’s doing. She could have died for all I know! Please give me advice as to what I can do.

A: It looks like you are going to have to wait until Monday. Good luck.
