Q: My ex wife has not transferred the vehicle out of my name. What do I need to do?
My ex wife and I divorced in May of 2020. As part of our settlement agreement, she was to take the vehicle and payments after the divorce was final. We also agreed that I would pay her $700 a month until July 2022, so she wouldn't go after my retirement. I have been making the payments out this amount. She moved back across the country in July 2020, but has not refinanced or registered the vehicle. I have no way of knowing whether she even has it insured anymore. What do I need to do?
