Q: I just recieved a summons in the mail that says i was issued a ticket for not having a state license plate but i never

I never was givin a ticket or pulled over in the date time or place the ticket says for i was at work

A: It's possible that the police officer was driving by and saw your car parked in front of your house and saw that you didn't have a state license plate and issued the ticket by mail.

If all the information on the ticket is incorrect (make and model of car is wrong, location is someplace you have never been, etc.), it's possible that all of those errors would be enough to get the judge to agree to dismiss the ticket. However, any errors on the ticket can be corrected by the police officer or the prosecutor at any time, up to and including the actual court date.
