Dacula, GA asked in Divorce for Georgia

Q: Court ordered sale of home after contempt. Ex-spouse want sign with realtor. Do I have to file another contempt case?

Contempt case was a money judgement that was suppose to come from sale of home. Ex-spouse doesn't want to sign with realtor without listing home at unobtainable sale price and doesn't want the price to be drop in a timely manner. Do I have to file another contempt case or is the first sufficient enough for him to be made to sign?

A: No one can answer this question without reviewing your contempt order and the original divorce order. You can consult with an attorney about your options.

A: We would need to review the actual order and other papers to understand precisely what the issues are. I would urge you to take your whole file to a divorce attorney so that the advice you receive would be from an informed source. Online, we would just be guessing.
