Q: I just received a lien from the Massachusetts child support agency. What does this mean?

if i do not live there does it matter? or have any property or anything of such.

A: I agree with my colleague. It would be a good idea to consult with an attorney in that state. You may want to re-post your question in their forum and see if you can get a response.

A: Most, if not all, the states cooperate in the collection of child support. Typically in a situation like this, MA will send to the GA child support agency in your county the necessary info for GA to collect from you here in GA. If you believe the lien is a mistake, I would certainly urge you to contact MA counsel. Please do not ignore this matter. They can seize your tax refunds, wages and suspend your drivers license if you remain delinquent.
