Snellville, GA asked in Family Law, Civil Litigation and Domestic Violence for Georgia

Q: What do I do if I can't find a lawyer to represent me in a Emergency TPO on Monday 17th that my dad filed on the 3rd?

I have been calling to get advice and to get representation from a lawyer and no one is available with this short of time? I work with my dad coaching gymnastics and haven't been able to coach my kids since the 3rd of May? My Team parents have been calling and texting as well as the kids and I haven't been able to tell them what's going on in fear of violating the TPO? I would get some statements from them vouching for what kind of person I am and things they know about my parents specifically my mother but I'm afraid my mom will find out and tell the court I'm talking to them and it will constitute a violation on me? I will never be able to adopt a child which is a dream of mine, I'll never be able to adopt a dog again which my dog passed away on March the 9th and she was my Best Friend? ... My dad is on file as the petitioner and my mom isn't on anything but her handwriting is on the report giving statement and dad signed it? There's a part asking who helped w/report she isn't on it

A: I’m so sorry to hear about your situation. What county is your case in? You may have to ask for a continuance. I’m happy to discuss the situation with you and see if we can assist at the hearing on Monday.

A: This has probably passed since it’s the date in question, but you could seek a continuance. Consult with an attorney who can help you with the case going forward.
