Hammond, LA asked in Traffic Tickets and Car Accidents for Louisiana

Q: While driving I-10 eastbound right before Acadian thruway in the slow lane, roads were extremely wet, right front steer

tire blew out, and vehicle that was traveling in front of my company vehicle stopped short which caused me to swerve to the shoulder, and truck went into the soft shoulder due to it be severely wet, truck slid into bushes, no other vehicle was damaged, no personal property of the city or the state was damaged, but yet I was written a ticket by a city officer for failing to maintain control, I feel that this was overstepping his authority, and not applying any type of professionalism, as well as no common sense, what grounds do I have to have this citation thrown out?

A: If your tire blew out, that's your defense.
