Mandeville, LA asked in Traffic Tickets for Louisiana

Q: Why won't Louisiana officer accept a valid Texas registration sticker as proof of registration for TX resident?

Got pulled over for speeding in LeCompte LA and officer would not accept my valid Texas registration sticker. The sticker is the only form of registration for TX and contains all necessary info. He stated "Welcome to Louisiana, I need your registration card". TX doesn't issue that but he cited me for it. He was quite the little bully so I didn't argue the point-there seems to be no recourse as there isn't even a truly operational police station. The speeding is also in question as I am extremely careful in these small towns and had cruise control on. He stated he clocked me at 46, 44, 48 and 56 in a 45mph zone. Impossible. Wrote the ticket for 56 in a 44...odd. So I have to spend time and money to defend a trumped up charge - How do they get away with this?
