Q: When my husband divorced, he agreed to pay half of college. If his son, who is almost 26, has gone to 3 colleges.
He has yet graduated, keeps failing classes, changed majors. How long is my husband required to continue paying a bill that will never end. His son is working, but his mother doesn’t force him to pay his bills after he moved out. He uses his money to travel to Cal or Japan. Please help. They divorced in Alabama but both parents live in Ga now.
A: The answer depends on what his divorce documents say. He needs to consult an attorney about his situation.
A: Cannot say without a review of the documents. He needs to meet with a Domestic Law attorney for sure.
A: We would need to know what the order states so that we can provide you with guidance. You should take it to an attorney for a consultation so you can get clarification. Meeting with an attorney may prove to be cheaper than paying continuously for this.
