Q: Can the police go in my house without a search warrant after I'm detained off the property

The police came to my house with an arrest warrant for me when I drove up they detain me in the street in front of my house they would not let my dad go inside the house when my dad did go inside his house they made him get out and they went walk through my house without a search warrant is that legal

A: The arrest warrant for what? For some offenses that would suffice for probable cause.
