A: Kansas has an online portal where your daughter may go and apply for a protection from abuse order. If her internet use might be monitored by the abuser, she should call 911. If she is able to safely access the internet, the Kansas Protection Portal is at https://www.kspop.org/. She can enter the information and it create and submit a petition. Go to the website and read the help information found there.
A: As for the lease, she might then reach out to Kansas Legal Services https://www.kansaslegalservices.org/ for assistance with her lease and possibly terminating it if the abuser is also on the lease.
