Asked in Family Law for Louisiana

Q: I am desperately trying to get my 2 children back after an exp parte was issued when I was in the pysch ward.

I voluntarily admitted myself into the hospital. I have not seen my kids in almost 2 months, we have the final hearing Thursday. The child's father is working with me, he's been trying to get back in the children's lives. He has a fiance, a new baby and a 3 bedroom house. I sold my home prior to this, I am going to stay with them I their home, with the children until I get my own place in a month or so.

A: I agree with my colleague---you need to hire an attorney to represent you in this. Also, to the extent that there is no conflict, you and the child's father might be able to have the same attorney. But more information is needed that what you posted----use the Find a Lawyer tab on Justica and search for child custody lawyers in your area. Good luck.
