Nashville, TN asked in Car Accidents for Tennessee

Q: Can I recoup more than just the cost of my car if I was involved in an accident, with minor injuries, with a school bus?

I was stopped behind a school bus that backed up without seeing me, totaling my car. My physical injuries were just tissue injuries, mentally traumatized. I’ve had to go without a car for over a month. Metro’s legal department keeps trying to pressure me into taking NADA value for the car, and nothing else. It doesn’t seem fair that they owe me nothing for all the stress this has caused.

A: If you believe that the other side is being unfair and/or trying to get one over you then you need to consult with an injury lawyer in your area----most will provide a free consultation so there is no reason not to contact a few, ask them your questions and then if necessary, hire the one with whom you are most comfortable. Good luck.
