Asked in Traffic Tickets for Tennessee

Q: I got a 116 in a 55. The cop only gave me a speeding ticket instead of reckless driving. What can I expect at court?

Went to court and the judge was late so the attorney assisting is the one who made the call to move my date to a new court room due to feeling like I should have received a reckless driving charge. Can they add that?

A: You need an attorney to represent you so that things like what you described do not continue to happen. An accusation of exceeding the speeding limit by over 60 mph is not going to get you any sympathy but if you have an attorney he should be able to keep your from getting railroaded.

A: You have already blew your chance for a really good result. I cannot believe you think there was an "... attorney assisting...". Obviously you need an attorney to represent you as you do not know what is going on. There are several possibilities such as 24 over, etc. Remember a Conviction will add points to your last year's MVR.
