Q: How can I get visitation rights for my non biological grandson

My lesbian daughter and her ex partner decided to have a baby together now six years later we are no longer allowed to see him what can we do

A: There is a very narrow set of circumstances where grandparents can get rights. Parents have the right to determine who sees or does not see their child. If the child did not live with you at any point, it's unlikely the court will grant a visitation request.

A: I agree with my colleague. It’s not likely that the court would grant visitorship. You may want to try and reach out to the child’s mother and see if you can come to an agreement to be able to see the child.
