A: Such a request may go unanswered. Divorce requires an assumption of risk by the attorney that can cost plenty. Sanctions are freely administered by judges, and lawyers will not fund sanctions for the pro bono client. Experts may be needed, and again, lawyers will not fund those.

We also do not understand what "trained collaborative" means. No attorney can convince an opponent to surrender and agree to the client's terms. Here, it appears the man will be on the hook for a whopping child support amount for two children. There could be a contest afoot for extended visitation, or even a challenge to the asker's custody. We also do not know all the assets and debts the husband and wife have, so that could turn into an extensively litigated part of the divorce.

The asker should call around to locate an inexpensive attorney, but expect no investment by the attorney in the divorce action, and not paying one's attorney will not lead to satisfactory outcomes.
