Q: I'm in arrears in Louisiana, will they work out a payment plan to stop garnishment?

A: What does the child support judgment say? Most of them say that some sort of garnishment or income assignment order is the method employed to collect child support. If it does not say that, then they would still have to implement garnishment proceedings. I recommend that you seek and possibly hire a lawyer to assist you in this. Good luck.
